There are these millions of websites on
Internet. Now, when we type in a word/phrase in the search engine and
seek results, it is the Search Engine's function to get us links to the
most relevant websites for the Search criterion punched in. Now, for
Search Engines to decide on the order of these results, they have their
own criterion for qualifying different websites for position at which
they get displayed in the Results. These criterions include many
parameters and complex algorithms churning out the results after
applying all the defined parameters.
Some of the parameters are as follows:
Frequency at which the key phrase appears in the content, how the key
phrase is placed in the content i.e.. whether it is in a title, or in
other meta tags or in a heading or in the content, how many other
websites are providing link to the site on which the key word is found
and whether those links also carry the relevant word/phrase or not.
